A letter to America via podcast
As I watch the news and listen to these politicians talk about 'making America great again' or 'uniting a divided nation,' I can't help but notice the disconnect in their words and actions. These same leaders often criticize, belittle, and slander one another. It makes me wonder if America has become a modern-day Sodom and Gomorrah; we need Jesus now more than ever. Regardless of whom we vote for, we as children of God all should pray for this nation and its leaders, seeking guidance, humility, and a spirit of unity that can truly bring healing. Let us not underestimate the power of our faith and the strength of our prayers in shaping the future of our beloved nation.
Prayer for Our Nation and Its Leaders:
Heavenly Father,
Heavenly Father, as a citizen of this great nation, I come before You, burdened for our country and its leaders. In these turbulent times, I ask for Your wisdom, peace, and strength to fill the hearts of those in authority. Show them the path of humility, justice, and love so that they may serve not for personal gain but for the good of all people. Unite us, Lord, in faith, compassion, and Your truth.
Forgive us, Father, for the times we've strayed from You, and lead us back to the foundation of faith, integrity, and unity. May our leaders recognize their need for You and seek Your guidance in every decision. We pray for an outpouring of Your Spirit across our nation so that healing, revival, and lasting peace may take root. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
Bible Verses on Abandoning God:
Jeremiah 2:13 – "For my people have committed two evils: they have forsaken me, the fountain of living waters, and hewed them out cisterns, broken cisterns that can hold no water."
This verse reminds us that when we turn away from God, we seek satisfaction in things that cannot truly fulfill us. As a nation, we must return to God, the source of life and wisdom. Our current state, where we often seek fulfillment in material wealth and power, is a reflection of this biblical truth.
Hosea 4:6 – "My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge: because thou hast rejected knowledge, I will also reject thee, that thou shalt be no priest to me: seeing thou hast forgotten the law of thy God, I will also forget thy children."
When a people or nation rejects God's knowledge and instruction, they suffer and lose their foundation. It's a call for us to restore God's truth at the center of our lives.
Psalm 33:12 – "Blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord; and the people whom he hath chosen for his own inheritance."
This verse highlights the blessings when a nation acknowledges God as its Lord. Let us seek His favor by honoring Him with our hearts, decisions, and actions.
Proverbs 14:34 – "Righteousness exalteth a nation: but sin is a reproach to any people."
Righteousness uplifts a nation, but sin can bring it down. To restore our country, we must ask for forgiveness and pray for righteous leadership.
May these scriptures and this prayer remind us that true strength, unity, and greatness can only be found in God's presence. This is not just a religious belief, but a truth that has the power to transform our nation if we embrace it.
I thank Jesus for loving me and dying on the cross for me, a lost and helpless sinner.
I have been redeemed.
Sincerely

Faithless America: A Nation Divided by a Lack of Belief
Food for thought
Imagine a country once centered around faith. Churches stood at the heart of every community, providing spiritual guidance and a gathering place where people felt they belonged. In recent decades, however, a transformation has taken hold: Americans increasingly identify as religiously unaffiliated, opting for secular beliefs over the traditions of their parents and grandparents. As faith declines, divisions within America grow more profound, and this lack of belief is not merely a personal journey but a national shift with far-reaching consequences.
Thesis: America's faith crisis is not just a pressing issue but a ticking time bomb that has led to moral and social fractures and threatened our unity. By delving into the decline of religious adherence, the effects of secularism, the ethical consequences of faithlessness, and potential steps toward spiritual renewal, we can better understand the urgency of faith in America's future. There is hope in the potential for spiritual renewal.
Reality, yes. The Decline of Faith in American Society
Statistics on Declining Religious Participation
In the early 2000s, roughly 80% of Americans identified with a particular faith, predominantly Christianity. Today, over 30% of Americans claim no religious affiliation. Weekly church attendance has dropped, with only 29% of Americans attending services regularly, and this decline is even more pronounced among Millennials and Gen Z, half of whom claim no religious ties. These statistics reflect a nation undergoing a significant shift in its spiritual identity.
Generational Differences
Baby Boomers grew up when church attendance was expected, and spiritual values influenced family, community, and political decisions. Today, Millennials and Gen Z turn to different sources—social media, influencers, and secular philosophies—to shape their worldviews. As a result, the generational divide in faith contributes to an increasingly fragmented society, where shared beliefs and values that once unified generations are dissipating.
Loss of Spiritual Identity
As fewer people practice traditional religious beliefs, many experience a void in communal and personal identity. This gap can leave individuals feeling isolated and purposeless, contributing to growing societal anxiety and unrest. The loss of a framework for belonging and purpose, once provided by religion, has led to a sense of spiritual emptiness that secular alternatives often struggle to address.
Yes, Satan attacks in many ways. The Impact of Secularism on American Unity
Loss of Shared Values
Faith in America has historically been the bedrock for values like compassion, forgiveness, and humility. Today, with fewer people identifying with a shared religious background, we are witnessing a loss of these shared values, leading to a society that operates on divergent principles rather than a common moral foundation. Political debates and social conflicts illustrate this divide, as beliefs about justice, human rights, and the role of government increasingly clash.
Polarization and Division
Without a unifying moral compass, political and ideological divides intensify. Religious principles once provided a baseline for moral discussions, encouraging empathy and compromise. However, without shared beliefs to fall back on, opposing ideologies have become more entrenched, making empathy and common ground rare.
Rise of Individualism Over Community
Secularism often promotes individualism, encouraging people to prioritize personal achievement over community well-being. This shift has led to losing the collective activity that faith-based organizations traditionally foster, supporting families, older people, and the less fortunate. The resulting increased isolation and alienation are stark reminders of what we stand to lose without faith.
Let me speak of The Moral Consequences of a Faithless America
Increased Crime and Social Disparities
The decline in faith-based teachings may contribute to increased crime and social disparities. Communities with fewer religious influences often report higher rates of violent crime, substance abuse, and youth delinquency. For younger generations, growing up without faith-based guidance may mean missing out on essential lessons about ethics, empathy, and responsibility.
Mental Health and Isolation
The U.S. is currently grappling with a mental health crisis. Depression, anxiety, and loneliness are on the rise, with the Surgeon General recently naming loneliness as an epidemic. Studies suggest that individuals involved in faith communities experience higher levels of well-being and a greater sense of purpose. Without these support systems, many individuals feel disconnected and unsupported, which may exacerbate mental health issues and lead to social dysfunction.
Questioning Objective Morality
Religion traditionally provided an objective moral framework that many found reassuring. However, secular morality is often subjective, leaving Americans to determine their ethical principles. A shared moral compass is needed to establish societal norms. It contributes to an environment of moral relativism, where right and wrong become increasingly personal and often conflicting interpretations.
Can Faith Be Restored?
Rekindling Faith through Community Programs
Faith-based organizations can address this crisis by creating community programs that unite people, offer mentorship, and promote outreach. These programs could help individuals reconnect with spirituality in a contemporary context. Working alongside secular groups, faith-based initiatives can provide practical benefits to those feeling isolated, filling the community void left by declining religious participation.
Role of Families and Religious Leaders
Families play a crucial role in reintroducing faith into daily life, emphasizing values like gratitude, humility, and kindness. Parents can engage their children in discussions about faith, share personal experiences, and encourage participation in religious activities. Meanwhile, religious leaders can strive to make faith more accessible and relevant, using modern language and addressing current issues that resonate with younger generations. Churches can also focus on inclusivity, meeting the needs of younger people in ways that foster renewed interest and engagement. Together, we can make a difference.
Emphasizing the Value of Faith in Public Life
While faith is a personal journey, acknowledging its role in shaping the nation's character could help promote unity. Leaders can encourage respect for shared values rooted in faith without infringing on secular freedoms. Emphasizing public expressions of faith in a way that honors pluralism can help restore shared ethics and promote understanding across belief systems.
This is my Conclusion
Recap: America's faith decline is more than a personal choice; it's a societal shift with deep-reaching consequences. The absence of spiritual connection has created divisions, isolating and polarizing the nation. However, by exploring ways to rekindle faith in community, family, and public discourse, we can rediscover the shared values that foster unity and purpose.
Call to Action: America's path forward requires action, reflection, community support, and dialogue about values and beliefs. By restoring a sense of faith—religious or moral—the nation can work toward common ground, bridging divides and cultivating a renewed sense of shared purpose. Let's start this journey together.
In times like these, our strength as believers lies in standing firm in faith and unashamedly proclaiming the Gospel. Romans 1:16 reminds us, "For I am not ashamed of the gospel, because it is the power of God that brings salvation to everyone who believes." Let us remain steadfast, grounded in Christ, and intercede for our nation and its people.
Let's pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You today with humbled hearts, asking for Your mercy and guidance over this nation. Lord, awaken a longing for You across this land, stirring hearts to seek and know Your truth. Grant us the courage to share Your Word boldly, and may our lives reflect Your love and grace. Soften the hearts that have grown hardened, Lord, and replace them with hearts of flesh that yearn for Your presence. Pour out Your Spirit, renewing and transforming us from within. May Your kingdom come, and You will be done, in Jesus' mighty name. Amen.
Standing together in prayer, we can seek transformation, knowing God is always at work. May He continue to use us as vessels of hope and light.

Christian spiritual warfare is indeed a reality for many believers who feel they are often in conflict with societal and political forces that challenge their faith.
I will mention an example of students in Wisconsin who felt targeted after Vice President Kamala Harris told them they were at the "wrong rally. "This highlights the tension that some Christians experience in today's political landscape.
In spiritual terms, many see these kinds of incidents as part of the broader battle between their faith's values and opposing worldviews.
Ephesians 6:12 speaks to this struggle, reminding Christians that their battle is not just against 'flesh and blood' but against 'principalities, powers, and rulers of darkness.' Our continuing to stand firm in the face of such challenges is a testament to the resilience of our faith.
For Christians, spiritual warfare involves prayer, standing firm in their beliefs, and relying on God's word to navigate these challenges.
How can Christians best equip themselves to respond to such situations?
Additionally, it saddens me to see leaders act disrespectfully towards the ones who help put them in office.
Yes, we are to support our leaders; however, The Bible speaks very clearly about the relationship between the believer and the government. We are to obey governmental authorities, and the government is to treat us justly and fairly.
Even when the government does not live up to its role, we are still to live up to ours. Finally, when the government asks us to do something that directly disobeys God's Word, we are to disobey the government in faithful confidence in the Lord's power to protect us.
Concern about leaders acting disrespectfully toward those who supported them.
It is essential to support leaders within the biblical framework.
The Bible calls for obedience to government and disobedience when government commands go against God's Word.
It saddens me, too, when leaders, like Kamala Harris in this case, act in ways that seem disrespectful toward the very people who helped put them in office.
While we are called as Christians to support and respect our leaders, the Bible sets a clear standard for the relationship between believers and the government. Romans 13:1-7 teaches that we are to obey governmental authorities, and the government, in turn, is to treat us justly and fairly.
However, even if the government does not live up to its role, we are still called to live up to ours.
But when the government requires something that directly contradicts God's Word, we must stand firm in disobedience, trusting in the Lord's protection. Acts 5:29 reminds us, "We must obey God rather than men." This balance of respecting authority while remaining faithful to God is central to Christian spiritual warfare.
How do you think Christians today can navigate this tension effectively?
Yes, there had been individuals who mocked God and passed away.
Do not be deceived, God is not mocked; for whatever a man sows, that he will also reap. (Galatians 6:7)
1. John Lennon (Singer):
Some years before, during his interview with an American Magazine, he said: 'Christianity will end, it will disappear. I do not have to argue about that.. I am certain. Jesus was ok, but his subjects were too simple, today we are more famous than Him' (1966). Lennon, after saying that the Beatles were more famous than Jesus Christ, was shot six times.
2. Tancredo Neves (President of Brazil ):
During the Presidential campaign, he said if he got 500,000 votes from his party, not even God would remove him from the Presidency. Sure, he got the votes, but he got sick a day before being made President, and then he died.
3. Cazuza (Bi-sexual Brazilian composer, singer, and poet):
During A show in Canecio ( Rio de Janeiro ), while smoking his cigarette, he puffed some smoke into the air and said:’God, that's for you.' He died at the age of 32 of LUNG CANCER horribly.
4. The man who built the Titanic
After the construction of the Titanic, a reporter asked him how safe it would be. With an ironic tone, he said, 'Not even God can sink it.' The result: I think you all know what happened to the Titanic.
5. Marilyn Monroe (Actress)
Billy Graham visited her during a show presentation. He said the Spirit of God had sent him to preach to her. After hearing what the Preacher had to say, she said: 'I don't need your Jesus.' A week later, she was found dead in her apartment.
6. Bon Scott (Singer)
The ex-vocalist of the AC/DC. On one of his 1979 songs, he sang: 'Don't stop me; I'm going down all the way, down the highway to hell.' On the 19th of February 1980, Bon Scott was found dead; his vomit had choked him.
7. Campinas (IN 2005)
In Campinas, Brazil, a group of drunk friends went to pick up a friend…..The mother accompanied her to the car and was so worried about the drunkenness of her friends, and she said to the daughter holding her hand, who was already seated in the car: 'My Daughter, Go With God And May He Protect You.' She responded: 'Only If He (God) Travels In The Trunk, Cause Inside Here….. It's Already Full 'Hours later, news came by that they had been involved in a fatal accident, everyone had died, the car could not be recognized what type of car it had been, but surprisingly, the trunk was intact. The police said there was no way the trunk could have remained intact. To their surprise, inside the trunk was a crate of eggs; none was broken.
8. Christine Hewitt (Jamaican Journalist and entertainer) said the Bible (Word of God) was the worst book ever written. In June 2006, she was found burnt beyond recognition in her motor vehicle.
Only do say in their hearts, "There is no God." They are corrupt, and their actions are evil; not one of them does good! (Psalm 14:1)

Only Jesus Can Make America Great Again"
1. Introduction: The Current State of Leadership
Many of our leaders today seem to have lost their way, driven by personal ambition, political gain, and worldly ideologies rather than seeking wisdom from God. The nation watches as decisions are made without moral clarity, and the fruits of these choices are evident: division, confusion, and unrest.
Do these leaders need to remember? The ultimate authority doesn't rest in the hands of human rulers or governments; it rests with Jesus, the King of Kings. This world is not spinning out of His control, even if it appears so to us. Jesus is Lord, and He alone can bring the peace and justice many seek.
Today's cry should not be for more political reform but for a profound spiritual revival. The need for this revival is urgent. America doesn't need another slogan or policy; we need Jesus. It's time to return to the only One who can make America truly great again.
2. Jesus, The King of Kings
The Bible declares in Revelation 17:14, "They will wage war against the Lamb, but the Lamb will triumph over them because he is Lord of lords and King of kings." Jesus is not just a spiritual leader but the ultimate sovereign, reigning over all powers, authorities, and governments. His rule is eternal, and His authority surpasses any earthly ruler's.
In stark contrast to the self-serving motives of many leaders, Jesus models a leadership of humility and service. Philippians 2:6-7 says, "Though he was in the form of God...he emptied himself, taking the form of a servant." If those in positions of power followed His example of servant leadership, our nation would experience the kind of righteous leadership that brings true justice and peace. This stark contrast should ignite a longing for such leadership in our hearts.
But instead, many leaders today are blinded by pride, greed, and a thirst for power. They forget that their authority is temporary and comes from God alone. It's not human efforts or policies sustaining nations— God's grace and hand over the land.
3. America's Drift from Biblical Values
There was a time when America sought to live by biblical principles. The nation was founded on ideals rooted in Christian ethics: freedom, justice, and equality. These values reflected a deep reverence for God's Word. Yet, as time has passed, we've witnessed a troubling shift.
The influence of Christian principles in our culture has eroded. This erosion is a grave concern. Moral relativism has replaced absolute truth. The sanctity of life is questioned, marriage is redefined, and the very concept of truth is now subjective. Proverbs 14:34 warns, "Righteousness exalts a nation, but sin condemns any people." America's drift from righteousness has led to confusion, division, and a decline in spiritual health.
When a nation turns away from God's truth, chaos ensues. The Bible clarifies that no nation can stand firm if it abandons its moral foundation. Unsurprisingly, we see division, injustice, and unrest when our society moves further from the Word of God.
4. The Call to Return to Jesus
The solution to America's challenges is not found in politics, policy reforms, or social movements. The root of our problems is spiritual, and the solution is Jesus. God's Word offers a clear answer in 2 Chronicles 7:14: "If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land."
America desperately needs spiritual healing, and that begins with repentance. It's time to humble ourselves, admit that we cannot fix these problems alone, and turn back to Jesus. The issues that plague our nation—violence, hatred, division, and immorality—are ultimately spiritual strongholds that only Christ can break.
As believers, we must be the first to answer this call as witnesses to our communities and leaders. The message of hope and transformation is spread through the body of Christ. We need to pray for revival in America, starting with our hearts and lives.
5. Jesus: The True Source of Freedom and Greatness
America often speaks of freedom and greatness, but what is true freedom? John 8:36 says, "So if the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed." The freedom Jesus offers goes beyond political liberty or personal autonomy. It's freedom from sin, fear, and spiritual death. Only in Christ can people be truly free to live lives of purpose, justice, and peace.
History has shown that the most significant transformations come from spiritual awakenings. Times of revival, when people turned back to God, have always resulted in positive cultural and societal change. From the Great Awakenings in the 18th century to the civil rights movements inspired by Christian leaders like Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., we see how God works through His people to bring justice and renewal.
But without Jesus, even the best-intended reforms fall short. Political solutions cannot change the human heart; only Jesus can. Greatness is not defined by power, wealth, or influence—it is determined by our relationship with Christ and our living out of His teachings.
6. A Personal Call to Action
It's easy to be discouraged by the state of the world, but as believers, we are called to be salt and light amid darkness. We must first trust Jesus above any political leader or system. Psalm 118:8 reminds us, "It is better to take refuge in the Lord than to trust in humans."
We are called to pray for our leaders, even when they fall short. Pray they turn to Jesus for wisdom and guidance and lead with humility and integrity. 1 Timothy 2:1-2 urges us to offer "petitions, prayers, intercession, and thanksgiving for all people—for kings and all those in authority." As Christians, we have a responsibility to engage in the political process with love, grace, and a commitment to justice, guided by our faith in Jesus.
As the body of Christ, we must also stand firm in our faith, boldly proclaiming that Jesus is the answer. This message is not popular today but is the only one that brings hope and healing.
7. Conclusion: We All Need Jesus
Ultimately, no political leader, policy, or party can save America. The faithful Savior is Jesus Christ. If we want to see real change—lasting, meaningful, and eternal—we must return to Him. It's time to stop looking for solutions in the wrong places and acknowledge that while we may have diverse beliefs in America, only Jesus can make America great again.
Let us humble ourselves, seek His face, and pray for revival. The future of our nation—and the world—depends on returning to the One who holds all power and authority. May we never forget that the standard is not coming back, but that Jesus Christ is.

As A Veteran of 21 years of service active duty and Army National Guard
please join me in this prayer to honor our military personnel, both those who have passed and those still with us, as we approach Veterans Day and the holiday season:
Prayer for Our Military Heroes:
Heavenly Father,
We come before You with gratitude for the men and women who have served and continue to serve in our military. We thank You for their enduring bravery, dedication, and sacrifice, knowing that the freedoms we enjoy are not free but have been paid for by their unwavering willingness to defend our country.
Lord, we lift those who have gone home to be with You, especially those who made the ultimate sacrifice. We ask that You grant them eternal rest and peace in Your presence. May their legacy of courage and service never be forgotten.
We pray for Your ongoing protection and strength for those still with us, both active duty and veterans. Surround them with Your grace, and comfort them in moments of struggle, stress, or loneliness. In Jesus' mighty name,
Amen.

the Fruit of the Spirit and Live Like Jesus
Friday Sep 06, 2024

How and Why We Should Demonstrate the Fruit of the Spirit and Live Like Jesus
As followers of Christ, we are called to believe in Him and reflect His character in our daily lives. A key aspect of living a Christ-centered life is demonstrating the "fruit of the Spirit," as outlined in Galatians 5:22-23: "But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control." These attributes are more than just moral values; they are the very traits that reflect the life and love of Jesus.
Why We Should Demonstrate the Fruit of the Spirit
It Reflects Jesus' Character: Jesus Christ exemplified each fruit of the Spirit during His earthly ministry. He embodied love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, and all the other virtues. By living out these traits, we mirror the character of Christ and represent His teachings to the world. People are more likely to be drawn to Christ when they see Him reflected in us.
It Brings Us Closer to God: The fruit of the Spirit is evidence that the Holy Spirit is working in our lives. When we cultivate these traits, it demonstrates that we are growing in our relationship with God. The more we demonstrate love, patience, and kindness, the more we align ourselves with God's will and purpose.
It Strengthens Our Relationships: The fruit of the Spirit fosters harmonious relationships with others. When we show love, kindness, and patience, we build healthier, more loving relationships with family, friends, and strangers. Living out the fruit of the Spirit enables us to act with grace and forgiveness, as Jesus did, bringing peace and unity into our interactions.
It Serves as a Witness to Others: Demonstrating the fruit of the Spirit is one of the most powerful ways we can witness to others. Our actions often speak louder than words. By living a life marked by peace, gentleness, and self-control, others will see Christ in us. This may lead them to seek the source of that joy and peace, opening doors for us to share the gospel.
It Helps Us Overcome the Flesh: Paul contrasts the fruit of the Spirit with the works of the flesh in Galatians 5:19-21. While the works of the flesh lead to destruction, the fruit of the Spirit brings life. We overcome selfish desires, temptations, and sin by demonstrating these qualities. This daily transformation allows us to live as new creations in Christ.
How to Demonstrate the Fruit of the Spirit
Abide in Christ: John 15:5 reminds us that we cannot bear fruit unless we abide in Christ. To demonstrate the fruit of the Spirit, we must remain connected to Jesus through prayer, scripture reading, and obedience to His teachings. The closer we are to Christ, the more His character will shine through us.
Please submit to the Holy Spirit: The fruit of the Spirit is produced by the Holy Spirit, not by our effort. To cultivate these traits, we must surrender our hearts and minds to the Holy Spirit, allowing Him to shape and mold us into Christ's image. This requires humility and a willingness to let go of our selfish desires.
Practice Daily: Developing the fruit of the Spirit is a lifelong process that requires intentional effort. It's essential to practice these virtues consciously in our everyday lives. Whether it's showing kindness to a stranger, exercising patience in difficult situations, or maintaining peace in times of stress, each action helps to strengthen our spiritual character.
Embrace Community: Living out the fruit of the Spirit is best done in a community with others. Surrounding ourselves with fellow believers encourages us to grow and hold each other accountable. In the body of Christ, we are given opportunities to demonstrate love, patience, and forgiveness, and we can support one another as we strive to live like Jesus.
Reflect on Jesus' Example: Jesus is the ultimate model for how we should live. Studying His life and reflecting on how He interacted with others provides a perfect example of living out the fruit of the Spirit. In every situation, we should ask ourselves, "How would Jesus respond?" This helps us align our actions and attitudes with His.
Conclusion
Living like Jesus and demonstrating the fruit of the Spirit is not just a command but a privilege. It allows us to grow in our faith, strengthen our relationships, and be a light in a world that desperately needs the love of Christ. As we walk in the Spirit, we reflect the heart of Jesus, bringing glory to God and pointing others to the saving grace of our Lord and Savior. This journey is filled with joy and peace, promising a hopeful and optimistic future.

5 Reasons Why Freedom Is Not Free
The word 'freedom' is thrown around a lot. Governments and institutions keep touting the virtues of freedom and liberty. Why not? It sounds good. Freedom sounds like something that we all aspire towards. Why would anyone say anything against liberty? All of this sounds too good to be true. Well, the truth is that it's more complex. The truth is that freedom is not free. It's one of the most expensive things we can do. All the other things being equal, it costs less to provide a specific type of freedom than to provide one specific thing. It may not seem like much, but this imbalance can make a big difference over time. Let's examine why freedom is not free and how this imbalance can seriously impact people's lives.
Freedom Is Not Free
As the saying goes, 'you get what you pay for'. In this case, you get freedom, but it doesn't come for free. The cost of liberty is a considerable investment of time, money, and resources. When you want to understand the cost of freedom and how to calculate it, you must first understand the cost of security. Security is all about protection, safety, and keeping people safe from harm and injury. With security, you aren't concerned with freedom because you know that people will be protected even if they do something you disagree with. The cost of security comes in the form of our military men and women who serve this great nation's police, courts, and jails. However, the main reason that we have freedom is because Jesus died for all of us on the cross. He paid the price in full. You have to pay someone to watch over you while you are both at work and home. That's the cost of security. In addition to paying for the people who keep you safe, you also have to pay for them to do their job. If people are getting paid to protect you, that means that they have confidentials as well. This means you have to pay for the costs associated with their jobs, including equipment repairs, operating supplies, etc.
Freedom Doesn't Equal Equality
Everyone wants to be treated equally. They want the same freedoms, opportunities, and chances of success. Unfortunately, this isn't the case. Freedom doesn't equal equality. You can choose to provide people with the same liberties, but they can still choose to be unequal. This is a common misconception. People think that if they give people the freedom to do things, it shouldn't matter what they choose. This is a very simplistic way of looking at things. People have preferences and morals. People have different goals and different ways of achieving them. If you give someone complete freedom, what do you think they will choose? Most likely, only some things you think are best for them.
Freedom Doesn't Lead To Well-Being
We know that freedom leads to well-being by the fact that most people think that they want freedom. We wish to pursue our goals and live the kind of life we want without anyone getting in our way. Unfortunately, this isn't the case either. There is a belief system that goes along with being free in society. People believe that they can make their own choices and develop their abilities. Unfortunately, as we have seen above, this isn't the case. Some people have difficulty making choices even when outside factors aren't constraining them.
Freedom Doesn't Lead To Self-Determination
Finally, freedom doesn't lead to self-determination. One of the main reasons why freedom is so expensive is that it is only partially up to the people you have chosen to be free. Freedom isn't accessible for one reason and one reason only: the costs of maintaining it. Governments and institutions need to maintain security, equality, and self-determination. These things cost money. Governments and institutions must pay lawyers, police, judges, and jails for everything that keeps people safe and equal. In addition to paying for all these things, people must work to keep freedom going. Some people work behind the scenes in organizations that help keep people free. Some people work to ensure that people are equal and provided with the things they need to thrive. This means that with freedom, a considerable cost is associated with maintaining it. People have to work hard to keep it going. You don't get to enjoy it without working hard to keep it going.

America is facing challenging times

America is facing challenging times marked by death, destruction, and political unrest.
The fabric of our society seems to be unraveling as Christian values are increasingly under attack. We see a culture where many consider homosexuality as usual, where the unborn are murdered without hesitation, and where lies are fed to the public as if they were true. It's disheartening to witness how far we have strayed from God. However, we also acknowledge the diversity of beliefs in our country, and we respect the rights of all individuals to hold their own beliefs.
The question we must ask is, why have so many turned their backs on God? Perhaps it's the influence of a world that prioritizes self over the Savior or the allure of sin that blinds people to the gospel's truth. Yet, no matter how far we fall, God remains faithful. He is still with us; He has never left us. It's us who have left Him.
For those who may not believe in Jesus, I urge you to pause and reflect on the cross, where He selflessly gave His life for you and me.
This act of love and sacrifice is the ultimate truth, a beacon of hope that shines brightly for all.
It's a crucial moment for America. God is calling us back to Him.
Christians are called to stand up and stand firm in our faith. We cannot afford to remain silent.
We must boldly and fearlessly share the gospel of Jesus Christ, for the world desperately needs the truth.
Psalm 125:1 reminds us, "Those who trust in the LORD are like Mount Zion. It cannot be moved; it abides forever." Let us be unmovable in our faith, knowing that God is with us, guiding and protecting us.
I pray for America and its citizens and that Christians everywhere will rise to be the light in this dark world.

one veteran suicide is one too many

As a veteran who has grappled with PTSD, chronic pain, and sleep apnea, I have faced some incredibly dark moments. At times, the weight of these challenges has driven me to the brink of considering suicide, and I've struggled with significant depression.
The journey has been difficult, and the battles have often felt insurmountable. Yet, through it all, I am immensely grateful for the unwavering support of my family and the steadfast presence of Jesus in my life.
It's crucial to acknowledge the deep pain that many veterans experience. PTSD can haunt us with relentless memories and flashbacks, while chronic pain can make even the simplest tasks feel like monumental hurdles.
Sleep apnea exacerbates these issues, robbing us of restful nights and leaving us exhausted and irritable.
The cumulative effect of these conditions can push anyone to the edge.
In my darkest hours, the thought of ending the pain through suicide seemed like a tempting escape.
However, the love and support of my family anchored me, reminding me that I was not alone in this fight.
Their encouragement, understanding, and patience provided a lifeline when I felt I was drowning. They helped me see that my life had value, and their belief in me gave me the strength to keep going.
Moreover, my faith in Jesus has provided profound comfort and hope. In moments of despair, prayer and reflection have provided solace, guiding me toward healing and peace. His presence has been a beacon of light, illuminating a path forward even when the darkness seemed overwhelming.
Jesus continues to work on me, helping me to navigate the complexities of my mental and physical health.
His presence has been a beacon of light, illuminating a path forward even when the darkness seemed overwhelming.
One veteran suicide is one too many, and it is a tragedy that our community must address with urgency and compassion.
We must ensure that veterans receive the support they need to cope with their burdens.
Mental health resources, pain management, and sleep therapy are critical components of this support.
Equally important is the role of family and faith, which offer love, understanding, and spiritual guidance. Their support is not just crucial; it's a lifeline.
To my fellow struggling veterans, I want you to know that you are not alone.
Reach out for help, lean on your loved ones, and hold on to hope. Jesus is working on each of us, and with His guidance, we can find strength, healing, and a reason to keep moving forward. Remember, you are not alone in this journey.

This Nation Needs Jesus
Just a little Faith
The Christian faith centers on beliefs regarding the birth, life, death and resurrection of Jesus Christ. While it started with a small group of adherents, many historians regard the spread and adoption of Christianity throughout the world as one of the most successful spiritual missions in human history.
We all need Jesus more than ever here and now
