A letter to America via podcast
As I watch the news and listen to these politicians talk about 'making America great again' or 'uniting a divided nation,' I can't help but notice the disconnect in their words and actions. These same leaders often criticize, belittle, and slander one another. It makes me wonder if America has become a modern-day Sodom and Gomorrah; we need Jesus now more than ever. Regardless of whom we vote for, we as children of God all should pray for this nation and its leaders, seeking guidance, humility, and a spirit of unity that can truly bring healing. Let us not underestimate the power of our faith and the strength of our prayers in shaping the future of our beloved nation.
Prayer for Our Nation and Its Leaders:
Heavenly Father,
Heavenly Father, as a citizen of this great nation, I come before You, burdened for our country and its leaders. In these turbulent times, I ask for Your wisdom, peace, and strength to fill the hearts of those in authority. Show them the path of humility, justice, and love so that they may serve not for personal gain but for the good of all people. Unite us, Lord, in faith, compassion, and Your truth.
Forgive us, Father, for the times we've strayed from You, and lead us back to the foundation of faith, integrity, and unity. May our leaders recognize their need for You and seek Your guidance in every decision. We pray for an outpouring of Your Spirit across our nation so that healing, revival, and lasting peace may take root. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
Bible Verses on Abandoning God:
Jeremiah 2:13 – "For my people have committed two evils: they have forsaken me, the fountain of living waters, and hewed them out cisterns, broken cisterns that can hold no water."
This verse reminds us that when we turn away from God, we seek satisfaction in things that cannot truly fulfill us. As a nation, we must return to God, the source of life and wisdom. Our current state, where we often seek fulfillment in material wealth and power, is a reflection of this biblical truth.
Hosea 4:6 – "My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge: because thou hast rejected knowledge, I will also reject thee, that thou shalt be no priest to me: seeing thou hast forgotten the law of thy God, I will also forget thy children."
When a people or nation rejects God's knowledge and instruction, they suffer and lose their foundation. It's a call for us to restore God's truth at the center of our lives.
Psalm 33:12 – "Blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord; and the people whom he hath chosen for his own inheritance."
This verse highlights the blessings when a nation acknowledges God as its Lord. Let us seek His favor by honoring Him with our hearts, decisions, and actions.
Proverbs 14:34 – "Righteousness exalteth a nation: but sin is a reproach to any people."
Righteousness uplifts a nation, but sin can bring it down. To restore our country, we must ask for forgiveness and pray for righteous leadership.
May these scriptures and this prayer remind us that true strength, unity, and greatness can only be found in God's presence. This is not just a religious belief, but a truth that has the power to transform our nation if we embrace it.
I thank Jesus for loving me and dying on the cross for me, a lost and helpless sinner.
I have been redeemed.
Sincerely
